Loren Hallett (Preschool)

Loren is a certified teacher with a Masters in Elementary Education from Simmons College in Boston, MA. A lifelong student of ballet, she brings her love for classical ballet to life for even the littlest ballerinas. Loren attended the School of the Hartford Ballet and studied classical ballet for over thirteen years. She trained for five years in the pre-professional program, directed by Enid Lynn and shared the stage with the company dancers in Hartford. Under the artistic direction of Michael Uthoff, she performed in the company's annual Nutcracker, as well as spring performances such as Peter and the Wolf. While with the Hartford Ballet, Loren also taught classes in Primary, Pre-dance, Pre-Ballet, and Baby Ballet. Loren continued her dance training in the Boston area combining her education and experience with her passion for dance.
Loren has taught in the Amherst Public School District where she lives with her husband and two daughters. She serves as choreographer for local community theater companies and when she is not teaching and choreographing, Loren can be found on stage dancing, acting and singing in music theatre productions such as Meet Me In St Louis and Annie. After college, Loren continued her dance training in the Boston area combining her education and experience with her passion for dance. She is currently an Adjunct Professor at Daniel Webster College in the Humanities department where she teaches Introduction to Dance and works on course development.
